Introduction to
EDS devices
Key phrases: remedy testing, electro dermal
screening, EDS
Summary: Remedy testing is an informational
process. Remedies and their names are pointers to objects on the
informational plane.
All holistic therapies agree that it is a highly
individualized matter to find the right remedy, therapeutic protocol,
energy, information or frequency required to facilitate the healing
process. To use an analogy, one can say that gentle healing
modalities work like keys that reopen the door to health. Similarly
to door keys, they cannot do much damage if chosen wrongly but, at the
same time, they will do nothing if they do not fit. Therefore it was
always a key issue to find ways to test for the right remedy or for the
cause of the disease, and many different approaches have been taken.
There were many precursors to remedy testing as we
know it in the form of electro-dermal screening before Dr. Voll
discovered it in its present form in the 1950s. In the beginning, one
did not test against remedies but against people who actually had a
confirmed case of the disease, then one replaced the people with samples
of the diseased tissue and tested against homeopathic potencies of these
diseased tissues (Nosodes). But the experiments did not stop at this
point, and it was found that remedy testing would even work with the
name of the disease or remedy alone.
For many practitioners, remedy testing today has
reached a degree of abstraction that is not compatible with either a
purely materialistic view or even an understanding of energy science.
Remedy testing works with names, symbols and even thoughts of the item
to be tested. In all these cases, there is neither substance nor
energy involved and the remedy testing works either when the remedy
representation is in close proximity to the patient or miles away, and
whether he is electrically connected or not.
There were practitioners who would rather use
electronic electro dermal screening devices because the above-mentioned
testing methods were incomprehensible because they did not fit into
material cause and effect thinking. Here, manufacturers would convince
them that they were in fact measuring conductivity changes in response
to some direct emanations of different remedies that were tested. To
them, everything was an electric phenomenon and consequently one could
only measure whether there were electric connections between the tested
person, the remedy and the device. To this group of practitioners, these
emanations or remedy signatures are electromagnetic in nature and thus
it was only logical that they would store those signatures just like any
other electromagnetic data on magnetic cards and hard drives.
Remedy testing is useful even in this stage, where
one is holding on to traditional forms of thinking; however it clearly
stops here in its development. How can one, for example, understand that
one could ever store electromagnetic signatures of highly complex things
like emotions and mental states, which currently are all offered on CD.
Also how would this go together with the fact that no lab today is using
these kinds of electromagnetic signatures to test for pollutants,
toxins, microbial life in any automated testing, but still uses
spectrometers and chemical testing? Apart from some fake spectra that
were published and are upheld by some manufacturers, there exist no
spectroscopes, oscilloscopes or other devices that would allow one to
make visible these ominous signatures.
Seeing these obvious contradictions very clearly,
those established in traditional physics who have not tried electro
dermal screening (EDS) simply conclude “it’s all placebo” or “it cannot
work”. The answer however lies not on the level of matter or energy; it
is to be found on the level of information. With remedy testing, we are
asking questions and the answer comes in the form of an indicator drop,
the movement of a pendulum or as a sticky sensation felt on a rubbing
plate in a more traditional radionic system.
From an energetic point of view, matter is just one
form of energy, from an informational point of view energy and matter
are different forms of information and in fact they are only pointers to
objects in informational space. This way of looking at things makes it
understandable that informational diagnostics and healing does not
require an actual substance, but that in fact homeopathic or “word only”
representation work just as well. Why? Because both are pointers “only”
to an informational object. By analogy, all computer programming knows
this difference between passing objects as value or as reference “only”.
The latter is much more powerful because in order to affect or use an
object one is not handling the object itself but a token of it. The
same is the case when we use measures, words, or money – we are not
moving things but the representation of them, and life would be
impossible, or at least much more difficult, without this possibility.
This was brought to its practical and technical
conclusion in the
CoRe Inergetix System, which is based on the understanding that in
remedy testing it is not the actual remedy, nor a homeopathic
preparation nor an arbitrary name, that is required but instead any good
representation of a substance or concept to be tested. Obviously, for
example, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet” (Shakespeare)
but equally truly, “A rose tested on the basis of any other name or
symbol that points to it would be equally effective in remedy testing”.
However, more truly we know both from art and from the difficulty of
inventing any new names that really describe the essence of something,
not every name or symbol works equally well to communicate information.
For that reason the
CoRe Inergetix System uses not words but patterns that are created
anew in every moment of testing and that prove to be statistically
stable as references or pointers to the relevant objects on the
informational level.
Again, this innovation gives you many advantages in
that it frees you from buying thousands of test substances or
arbitrarily sampled so-called virtual remedy banks that contain nothing
but the names of remedies. Also it gives you the power of the moment,
because just as the meaning of words changes over time, equally whatever
it is that remedies or disease names point to on the informational level
changes. Using the remedies that Hahnemann found to be working for what
he called sarcotic or syphilitic, we found that in many cases they do
not work anymore. From this perspective it is not necessarily that the
diseases have changed but rather that what the remedies point to has
changed. With the
CoRe Inergetix System this is of no concern as words are only used
as seeds in a process that creates the actual meta-language, which is
the pattern that is created in the moment.
